1969 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Convertible!

'ISCA' Show Car! 

 

 

  

 

 

Body:

The Body is original design from GM Canada in 1969.

 

No Modifications.

 

Paint:

The paint is Candy Pagan gold, green, tan and candy red graphics.

 

Paint has a mist flake through out.

 

Engine:

 

The engine is a 350 blue printed / balanced 425Hp Rocket original Gold Block which is made in Canada.
 

Transmission:
 

A Turbo 400 automatic with Transgo Shift kit and Deep Sump Pan.

 

Rear-end:

Limited slip with 3:91 gear ratio.

 

Differential completely polished and painted candy red.

 

Under housing pin strip graphics.

 

Special Details:

The delta is of a frame off construction in 1986 - 1987.

 

It has been on the ISCA Show circuit form 1987 - 1994.

 

The engine is completely detailed in chrome triple plated and valve covers, tee bolts, power steering bracket, master cylinder cover, alternator brackets all 24 Karate gold plated.

 

All bolts of aircraft aluminum or chrome plated.

 

Underneath the hood is lined in stainless steel polished plate.

 

All Pulleys are chrome plated.

 

Headers and complete exhaust is chrome plated.

 

Ignition is Accel with Accel ignition amplifier and Taylor steel braded wires.

 

All hoses are of true steel braid and true swivel and truce compression fittings.

 

All Power options : Power steering , Power windows, Power brakes, Power roof.

 

Power brake booster for adequate stopping.

 

The engine is a 350 bored 30 over, Rhoades lifters, tripple valve springs, stainless steel valves, TRW Pistons,  232 cam with .474 / .474 intake and exhaust.

 

All steering components all chrome plated.

 

All Oil pan, Transmission pan all chrome plated.

 

Gear linkage is chrome plated.

 

Rear end cover chrome plated.

 

Note all chrome and gold plating all of tripple plating ( No after market plating on the car.)

 

The gas tank is painted Candy Pagan Gold with Air Brushed Flames in a SunBurst Fashion.

 

All gas tank straps are chrome plated.

 

All return and supply line for the fuel are steel braded with true fittings.

 

The carburetor is a Holley fully dressed ( Center Body painted Candy Red, Metering plates painted Candy Red, End Bowls all triple chrome plated.

 

Carb; fully functional.

 

The car is of a frame off construction: The floor is candy pagan gold and the frame is painted candy red, all bumper brackets are black cherry.

 

Front wheel wells are painted candy red with light gold fogging graphics.

 

The back wheel wells are candy gold with candy red fogged graphics.

 

Brake drums all triple chrome plated. ( Four wheel drum factory option for 1969.) All brake pads are all new replaced in 2004.

 

All new brake emergency cables and weights and chrome plated hold arms.

 

All wiring covered in red wire loom covering.

 

All wire covering hold downs all chrome plated. Custom Made Hand Fabricated.

 

Starter: Accel heavy duty. All battery cables heavy duty and all steel braded.

 

100 Amp Alternator chrome plated. ( After market ) External voltage regulator. ( Cover Chrome Plated.)

 

 

Interior:

All redone. Leathette in tan colour.

 

Rug done in chocolate brown new.

 

 All instrumentation done by Auto meter. ( Oil, Voltage, Vacuum,  Water temperature.)

 

Three chrome fire extinguishers.

 

All seats have all original pleats sewn on into the seats.

 

The trunk is all rugged in chocolate brown rug.

 

The trunk inner side fully lined in diamond tuff  liner.

 

Trunk light cap chrome plated.

 

Roof boot cover done the same tan cover as the seats.

 

 

Convertible
Roof:

The roof is original and has not been touched since I have owned it from 1980 to present.

Power option is working fine. All oil change in the hydraulic unit.

 

Piston and seal all checked lubricated but not needed to be replaced.

 

 

Maintenance:

All oils on the engine, transmission, rear-end change yearly.

 

Spark Plugs changed every two years or as required.

 

 

Cars Mileage:

66,000 at time of frame off construction.

 

100 miles since rebuild. Note : Used mainly as a show car and has been mostly tailored and driven in to the show room floor or onto outdoor show fields.
